PRESIDENT´S LETTER

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I hope this email finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy during this pandemic. The IAO wants to welcome you all to our upcoming meeting in San Diego, February 20-22, 2022 and look forward to attending this meeting in person. It has been a phenomenal group effort by the Board of Trustees and our Medical Professionals to have organized such a wonderful program for us to share.

The IAO is pleased to inform you that our finalized conference schedule has been reviewed by NEBO and has been awarded 60 CE credits. Please remember that all of these presentations are NON-TESTED and each presentation is 5 CE credits.  All those participants interested in applying for NEBO credit will share equally in the $7250.00 fee charged by NEBO, as was the case in San Diego in 2020.

The Board of Trustees is aware that some of you may have questions related to the meeting and COVID 19. Regarding updated safety procedures, the IAO will be adhering to all state and local mandates. Currently the hotel is requiring that face masks be worn inside the hotel at all times. The exception being actively eating and/or drinking. As healthcare professionals and taking personal responsibility, the IAO is asking that attendees be fully vaccinated and boosted if eligible to be boosted. There will be a HEPA filter at the podium during all presentations. The IAO remains dedicated to keeping our attendees and community safe, while promoting the opportunity for the dynamic exchange of professional information in the field of Ocularistry. We look forward to seeing you in person and sharing ideas, expanding our knowledge for the betterment of our patients and ourselves.

Please visit the IAO website, www.academyofocularistry.org, for complete program schedule and the registration link.

Respectfully,
